Panthers on the Road: Effingham

EIU Athletics and the EIU Alumni Association are excited to announce another session of Panthers on the Road, a series of hospitality events including coaches’ shows, pregame functions and socials that extends to all of Panther Nation.

Join fellow Eastern alumni, university administrators and head coaches for Country Night at the Rosebud Theatre featuring EIU alumnus and Nashville performing artist Jake Maurer ’04 plus special guests Jackie Lawson ‘05 and the Hillbilly Rockstars.

Maurer, a former Panther linebacker, served as assistant football coach at Mattoon High School for three years before heading to Nashville to pursue a career in country music. The singer-songwriter regularly performs at Music City’s famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge.
