Eastern's past female athletes receive EI letters

About 180 female student-athletes who competed for Eastern from the 1930s through the late 1980s returned to campus Nov. 14-15 to receive their long-overdue varsity letters, including assistant secretary of the Air Force for acquisitions Sue Payton '72, who was featured in the local newspaper. Check out photos from the weekend here.

Any eligible female student-athletes who were unable to attend can still get the varsity letters they deserve -- simply contact the EIU Alumni Association at 1-800-ALUM-EIU or alumeiu@eiu.edu by Thursday, Jan. 8, and we'll send them to you.

This event was sponsored by the EIU Alumni Association.
