"Hearts of Hope," a touching documentary by Mercedes (Sowder) Kane '01, will premiere as part of the Illinois International Film Festival in St. Charles on Oct. 25.

The film, which focuses on an infant heart surgeon at Hope Children's Hospital in Oak Lawn, is "a once-in-a-lifetime, behind the scenes look at this amazing doctor, his dedicated staff and the families of children they fight to save everyday." A premiere party following the screening will double as a fundraiser for the hospital.

If you plan to attend the EIU Homecoming Parade on Oct. 17, please note that the route has been slightly modified to allow the procession to end up in the O'Brien Stadium tailgate area.

Other than that, Homecoming should look very familiar, with a few new experiences thrown in to keep things interesting! These links should help you plan your trip back to campus for a "Back to Blue" Homecoming!
